THE WILD ROBOT

DreamWorks Animation brings Peter Brown’s The Wild Robot (2024), a beloved literary sensation, to life in a heartwarming and epic adventure. Directed by three-time Oscar® nominee Chris Sanders (How to Train Your Dragon, The Croods, Lilo & Stitch), the film follows Roz, a ROZZUM unit 7134, voiced by Academy Award® winner Lupita Nyong'o (A Quiet Place: Day One), who is shipwrecked on a remote island. Roz must adapt to her wild surroundings and form relationships with the island’s wildlife, ultimately becoming the adoptive parent of an orphaned gosling, Brightbill, voiced by Kit Connor (Heartstopper).

Joining the cast are Emmy and Golden Globe nominee Pedro Pascal (The Last of Us) as the cunning fox Fink, Emmy winner Catherine O'Hara (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) as opossum Pinktail, Oscar® nominee Bill Nighy (Love Actually) as the wise goose Longneck, and Oscar® nominee Stephanie Hsu (Everything Everywhere All at Once) as Vontra, a robot with her own intriguing connection to Roz.

The Wild Robot is a powerful story about self-discovery, exploring the intersection of technology and nature while delving into what it truly means to be alive and connected to the world around us. What sets The Wild Robot apart is its stunning animation style, which strays from the polished, 3D animation popular in today’s mainstream films. Written and directed by Sanders, the film promises a visually stunning and emotionally compelling journey for audiences of all ages, blending adventure with deep philosophical questions about life, nature, and the human experience. The Wild Robot is set to be an unforgettable tale of survival, friendship, and love.
